Getting there
Fly to either Pisa, Florence or Rome - the house is approximately 2 hours drive from each. Pisa route has the easiest roads. The house is in the middle of the countryside and approached via a "Via Provencale" - steep unmade up road. A car is a must.
Local Attractions
The charming local village of Paganico is a 15 minute drive and has everything you need - supermarket, bars, restaurants and excellent Gelateria.
Monte Antico, just at the bottom of the hill has a fabulous restaurant, delicatessen and wine shop.
The whole region is famous for its wines - Sesti, Banfi and Colle Massari vineyards are all within an easy drive and offer tastings and tours.
The picturesque hilltop towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino are great days out.
Hot Springs and river swimming at Petrioli just 20 minutes away.
Siena is a 45 minute drive and a must see.
Grosetto on the coast is an attractive walled city with a good street market on Thursdays.
Sandy beaches below and above Grosetto are backed by pine forests - directions to our favourites are at the house.

We are flexible on arrival and departure days, so you can check the best flight deals - we take weekly bookings from June through to September. We only take one reservation at a time to ensure total privacy - even if you are just booking one property.
